Born Jai Hemant Shroff on March 2, 1990, in Mumbai, India, Tiger Shroff is the son of acclaimed Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff and film producer Ayesha Dutt. He has a younger sister, Krishna Shroff, who is a film producer and co-founder of the mixed martial arts promotion, Matrix Fight Night. His heritage is a unique mix of ethnicities: his paternal side is of Gujarati and Turkmen ancestry, while his maternal lineage is Bengali and Belgian. His maternal grandfather was Air Vice Marshal Ranjan Dutt, a decorated Indian Air Force officer and Vir Chakra awardee.
