• Born: February 20, 1988, in Saint Michael, Barbados. She was raised in a bungalow in Bridgetown, a street which was later renamed Rihanna Drive in her honor in 2017.
• Family: Her mother, Monica Braithwaite, is a retired Afro-Guyanese accountant, and her father, Ronald Fenty, is a Barbadian warehouse supervisor of African, Irish, English, and Scottish descent. She is the eldest of three siblings from her parents' marriage.
