iPhone 17 Pro Max: Starting at Rs 1,49,900 in India.
iPhone Air: A new, slim model that replaces the Plus. It starts at Rs 1,19,900 in India.
Display:
All models, including the standard iPhone 17 and iPhone Air, now feature ProMotion displays with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
The iPhone 17's display has been upgraded to a larger 6.3-inch size, matching the iPhone 17 Pro.
The screens have improved scratch resistance with the new Ceramic Shield 2.
Peak outdoor brightness has been increased to 3,000 nits.
Always-On display technology is now available on the base models.
Design and Build:
The iPhone 17 retains a design similar to its predecessor, with a flat aluminum frame and a vertical dual-lens camera.
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max have a new design, returning to an aluminum unibody frame after the titanium of the iPhone 16 Pro series.
The iPhone Air is a new, ultra-thin model, making it the thinnest iPhone ever at 6.25mm.
Some reports of scratching on the new Pro models have emerged, which Apple has attributed to "material transfer" from display stands.
Camera:
The standard iPhone 17 now has a dual-lens 48MP Fusion camera system (wide and ultra-wide).
The Pro and Pro Max models feature a triple-lens 48MP Fusion camera system, with all three lenses (main, ultra-wide, and telephoto) at 48MP.
The Pro models have a new 48MP periscope telephoto lens with up to 6x optical zoom.
An upgraded 18MP front-facing camera with "Center Stage" technology is included on all models.
Performance and Battery:
The iPhone 17 series is powered by the new A19 chip (or A19 Pro in the Pro models), built on a 3nm process.
The A19 chip is optimized for on-device AI tasks, with an upgraded 16-core Neural Engine.
Battery life has been improved across the board, with the iPhone 17 Pro Max offering up to 37 hours of video playback.
The iPhone 17 Pro models feature a new vapor chamber cooling system for better thermal management.
All models support Wi-Fi 7 and have an Apple-designed N1 networking chip.
Software:
The phones run on iOS 26, which features a new "Liquid Glass" design and enhanced Apple Intelligence features like live translation and photo editing tools.
