Kylian Mbappé was born in the 19th arrondissement of Paris and grew up in Bondy, a northeastern suburb of the city. His family has a deep connection to athletics; his father, Wilfried Mbappé, is a football coach of Cameroonian descent, and his mother, Fayza Lamari, is a former handball player of Algerian origin. Mbappé's talent was recognized at a very young age. He began playing at the local club AS Bondy, where his father was a coach.
