Nia Sharma is a prominent Indian television actress and model, celebrated for her bold choices in fashion and her strong on-screen presence. Born as Neha Sharma on September 17, 1990, in Delhi, she has carved a successful career in the entertainment industry.
Early Life and EducationNia was raised in a Brahmin family in Delhi. She has an older brother, Vinay Sharma. She completed her schooling at St. Xavier's School in Delhi and went on to earn a degree in Mass Communication from the Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Rohini. Nia initially wanted to pursue a career in journalism but ultimately chose acting. She changed her name from Neha to Nia as "Neha" was a very common name in the industry at the time.
Career Milestones- Television Debut: She made her debut in 2010 with a supporting role in the TV show Kaali - Ek Agnipariksha on Star Plus.
- Breakthrough Role: Her career took a major turn with the 2011 show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, where she played the lead role of Manvi Chaudhary, a cancer patient. Her performance was widely praised for its emotional depth and helped her gain a massive fan following.
