Palak Muchhal is an Indian playback singer, lyricist, and philanthropist. She is widely admired for her ethereal voice and, more profoundly, for her humanitarian work, which has saved the lives of thousands of children. Her journey from a child prodigy to a celebrated artist and social worker has made her an inspirational figure.

Born on March 30, 1992, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, to a Maheshwari Marwari family, Palak showed a prodigious talent for singing from the age of four. She received formal training in Hindustani classical music and was a part of the Kalyanji–Anandji Little Star group.

Her life's true purpose was revealed when she was just seven. During the 1999 Kargil War, she started singing at local shops to raise funds for the families of martyred soldiers, collecting ₹25,000. This experience, along with seeing impoverished children using their clothes to clean train compartments, ignited a powerful desire to use her gift for social good.

In March 2000, she held her first charity show for a young boy with a congenital heart defect. The show raised ₹51,000, which led to the boy's successful heart surgery. This event marked the beginning of a lifelong mission. Palak, along with her younger brother Palash Muchhal, who is also a musician, began performing charity shows under the banner of "Dil Se Dil Tak" (From Heart to Heart). The funds raised from these shows are used to cover the medical expenses of children with heart and kidney ailments. She has been recognized by both the Guinness Book of World Records and the Limca Book of World Records for her extraordinary philanthropic efforts.

Palak Muchhal moved to Mumbai in 2006 to pursue a career in playback singing. After singing for a few films, her breakthrough came with the 2013 musical romance film Aashiqui 2. Her songs "Chaahun Main Ya Naa" and "Meri Aashiqui" became national sensations, earning her widespread acclaim and multiple awards.

Her versatile voice has since been a staple in Bollywood, with her particularly excelling in soulful and romantic melodies. Her career highlights include:
