Himesh Reshammiya is a multi-talented Indian music director, singer, songwriter, actor, film producer, and television personality. His career began in television production and he rose to become a commercially successful music composer and singer in Bollywood.
Early Life and Career BeginningsBorn on July 23, 1973, in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, Himesh Reshammiya is the son of music composer Vipin Reshammiya. He began his career at 16 as a producer for Doordarshan Ahmedabad and later for Zee TV, where he produced serials like Amar Prem and Andaaz.
In 1998, he made his debut as a music director for the film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, which starred Salman Khan. This led to a long-standing collaboration with Salman Khan, with Himesh composing for films like Bandhan and Hello Brother.
Musical Style and Rise to StardomHimesh's musical style is recognizable for his nasal voice and a mix of pop, folk, and classical elements with electronic beats.
