Shivangi Joshi is a highly acclaimed and successful Indian television actress. Born on May 18, 1998, in Pune, Maharashtra, she was raised in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Joshi is a professionally trained Kathak dancer and even won gold medals in Taekwondo, showcasing her diverse talents from a young age. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Joshi's acting career began in 2013 with a cameo in the show Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi. She quickly moved on to her first full-fledged role in Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi and followed it up with roles in shows like Beintehaa (2013) and Begusarai (2015-2016). Her performance as Poonam Thakur in Begusarai was noted by critics as "easy and fresh and natural," and it proved to be a turning point in her career.

Her rise to nationwide fame came in 2016 when she was cast as Naira Singhania Goenka in the long-running series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Her portrayal of the character captivated audiences and made her a household name. After her character's death in 2021, she continued her association with the show by playing a new character, Sirat Shekhawat Goenka.

After leaving Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Joshi continued to explore new roles and genres. She starred in Balika Vadhu 2 (2021-2022) as the main character, Anandi Bhujariya. In 2022, she took on a new challenge as a contestant on the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, where she finished in 12th place.
