Full Name: Suresh Kumar Raina
Born: November 27, 1986, in Muradnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Family: He was born into a Kashmiri Pandit family. His father, Trilokchand Raina, was a military officer. Raina moved to Lucknow at a young age to attend the Guru Gobind Singh Sports College to pursue his cricketing ambitions.
Personal Life: He married Priyanka Chaudhary in 2015. They have a daughter, Gracia, and a son, Rio.
Raina was an aggressive left-handed middle-order batsman. His batting was characterized by clean hitting and a fearless approach, especially in the middle overs of an innings. He was also a handy right-arm off-spin bowler who could provide crucial breakthroughs.
However, his most celebrated skill was his exceptional fielding. He was a "livewire" on the field, known for his acrobatic catches, powerful throws, and quick reflexes. Many consider him one of the greatest fielders in Indian cricket history.
Raina made his ODI debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka at the age of 19. His Test debut came five years later in 2010 against the same team, where he scored a century on debut. He holds the distinction of being the first Indian batsman to score a century in all three international formats of the game.
